Indigenous Astronomy and the Solar System

This module showcases the understanding that 'the sky is a reflection of the land' through an exploration of the solar system. Students will investigate how Aboriginal Peoples have developed detailed knowledge systems about the solar system through careful celestial observations. Using case studies on planets, students will explore both Indigenous and Western perspectives, demonstrating that this knowledge is not only about understanding the natural world but also about preserving cultural identity and continuity.
