Teaching the Australian Wars Panel with Rachel Perkins and Marcia Langton
Ngarrngga and Culture is Life partnered to host the Teaching the Australian Wars with Rachel Perkins and Marcia Langton Panel at the Faculty of Education on 19 March 2025. This panel aimed to bring attention to the curriculum resources developed for the documentary series The Australian Wars by Culture is Life, and address educator hesitation regarding teaching critical parts of our shared history as Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
Filmmaker Rachel Perkins and Professor Marcia Langton AO were joined by panelists Belinda Duarte, CEO Culture is Life, and secondary educator, Bill Lewis, with the panel facilitated by Professor of Indigenous Education and Director of Ngarrngga, Melitta Hogarth.
You can watch the recording of the Panel below.
